Waterfalls and Magic...

It has been a glorious summer thus far! Gloriously hot in the city, as well, so having some time up in the cooler northern mountains was wonderful for the spirit. I have visited this waterfall and surrounding area since I can remember, and grew up climbing the rocks and exploring the water-carved canyon. What an honor to bring my son out to play in the same place.
The past months have brought out many creative opportunities - I hope I have sprung on them with as much excitement and vigor as they caused to stir within my being! The images here are stills from the latest in my work on the Project Insectae. So many beautiful scenes building up - but still no end in sight. It may take until the next year to complete. The progression of the seasons has been lovingly documented so far.
I have also had the opportunity to utilize some new methods and materials from which to create some amazing new creature couture... I will post new photos soon of the new creations! So exciting! (Spoiler Alert: Sphinx Moths, Yucca Flowers and Seed Pods...)
