Typical Photographic Fare...
8/23/2019
Somewhere in the midst of the insanity of prepping the pounds and pounds of fruit to preserve, the half-time homeschooling starting up again for fall, the demands of my other little one, a complete bathroom remodel, and the general disarray of the yard and home space, I have, of course, decided that this is the time to catch up on posting updates of the many, many photos that I've amassed over the summer, and have just gotten around to editing. I've also set priorities for my artistic endeavors, even going so far as to put together applications for a few grants for a new project I have in the works (details to come, soon!). Overall, I'm not patting myself on the back too much for simply being able to accomplish some very typical work around the homestead and pile on a little more as well, but some days it feels good to recognize those victories, small as they may be. I feel good in what gets accomplished during the day (and night - lately, I've given myself an hour or two after the kids are in bed to work on creative projects, and have been very pleased with the results, so will continue to deprive myself of that time that I would otherwise be sleeping and try to do something that seems more productive to me), rather than lament what didn't get done. If nothing else has changed save for that seemingly small change of perception, I certainly feel happier and more accomplished, so that on its own is a benefit.
Here are some of the photos taken over the past few months, along the themes of food, insects, and things growing in the yard (typical photographic fare for me, I suppose).
