The Shellmet

First published on emmaecho.com, my portfolio site, in 2021. I'm streamlining emmaecho, however, the archives will still be accessible here.

((( The Shellmet )))

The Shellmet is the perfect accessory for living on the edges between worlds and times. It is a regal accoutrement to adorn and protect oneself while exploring the dichotomy of a limestone floor of an ancient sea, now seismically lifted several thousand feet above sea level and the desert and city below.

Paper shells are meditative to make, and all so different despite being made from very similar cuts of paper. They are fractal spirals: a lesson in chaos and tiny changes creating big outcomes.
