Quarantine Daze...

8/8/2020
It's been six months since Coronavirus arrived in the US, as far as we know, and it's been a stay-at-home order for New Mexico since the end of March. That means, as of writing, I've been home, with my two boys, for a third of 2020. We've been keeping ourselves busy, making lots of improvements around the homestead. Finally got our grey water plumbing done for the tub, so that is fantastic! Just in time for monsoons. So much water. It's sort of weird to think, "Hmm, I've got too much water right now," being in the desert. I venture out to the grocery store once or twice a month, and I've also gone to the hardware store, and to get some replacement panes of glass, since my big boy decided to put his head through the front window one night... I was relieved he wasn't hurt, and was grateful that it was at night, as the curtains were closed, so he didn't get any glass stuck in him, but we now have rules about being crazy on the couch.

All of this containment in our little ecosystem made me think back to my visit to Biosphere 2, back in 2012. I had to dig pretty deep back into the archives to locate the pictures from that trip. It's interesting the parallels drawn between that experiment and our current situation, at home during a pandemic.
