Day One Hundred Twenty Nine Spent the day with my mom and son planting the mother corn at Mer-Girl Gardens. What an incredible day! I have so many things to say about it, but not tonight, friends, not tonight. Soon.

Day One Hundred Thirty Five So... I have this thing for weird glasses :) I especially like ones that look sort of insect-y (or make me look sort of insect-y, or just creepy :) )

Day One Hundred Thirty Six Completed the teepee today. The kid and I have been working on it for the past couple days. It's great! The poles are from a wedding canopy and the (turquoise!) sheets were given to us yesterday by neighbors cleaning out their garage. Can't say no to free fabric, and it worked out just great for this. The best part was when the kid says, "Ma, I like our pee-pee." Haha :) We planted purple hyacinth beans around the poles and made geometric designs with yarn for the beans to climb.

Day One Hundred Thirty Seven Out in the swing at twilight... Had some fun with slow shutter speeds combined with flash. Weird, ghostly results :)

Day One Hundred Thirty Eight Had a minor panic attack today when I couldn't find the kid anywhere in the house. I'd thought he'd fallen asleep in his bed for a nap, and when I looked in to check, he wasn't there. I frantically searched all the beds in the house, and he wasn't in any of them. Finally, I saw his little toes sticking out from underneath the cabinet by the front door...

Day One Hundred Thirty Nine Took little dude over to play games for his birthday last night. He turned 3, so of course he wants to drive now. He drove that same car over and over again, despite having a plethora of games to choose from.

Day One Hundred Forty Two Today is the first time (ever!) that our Yellow Bird of Paradise has bloomed :D The shrubs were so tiny for two or three years so were only putting out leaves, but now the largest one has buds all over it.
