Fallen Snow...

The light coming in through the window was bright – too bright for pre-sunrise. The snow that fell during the nighttime hours held a radiance that even the dawn couldn’t dim. The sun showed its face briefly, lighting up the mimosa tree, the snow on its branches contrasting with the dark wet bark against the morning sky.
Just as quickly as it arrived, the light was gone. I don’t know that we will see much of it again today. The clouds are gray and hang overhead, though there are a few small streaks of blue off towards the horizon…

I’ve always felt more at home in nature, wild amongst the windswept grasses.
