I went away looking for inspiration, and it found me when I returned home.
Some shots of tree spirits in the bosque - a collaboration with Rah.

The solstice bouquet has since faded - white petals dropping like snow.
Leftover chrysanthemums inspire some fabulous clothing options... 2015 is off to a great (cold!) start! I'm loving the snow, LOVING the household getting over sickness and getting back to creating. I spent quite a few days mostly indoors, and took part of the time to look over some external drives and organize some shots... exciting, I know. I found a few things I'd forgotten about, one of which was a photo of a trumpet vine flower that was folded up on itself just so that it looked like the most elegant evening gown. I knew when I saw it that it was destined to be a fauxto... I finally got around to making that a reality (yay!) - as seen above: the trumpet flower gown, given a nostalgic, watercolor-y filter treatment and sacred geometry overlay - I used one of my starfish skirt images for the base.
(I also made a version with a Rumi quote that I feel exemplifies the pull of creative forces on my soul :) ) |
