One of the latest projects I've been working on is a photo series for www.rogueayurveda.com. Lizzy has been a friend for years, and we have grown in many ways over the time we've known each other. In addition to working on the photo set she is using for parts of her website, blog and printed information, I have also been fortunate enough to receive Ayurvedic consultations. The knowledge that has been shared with me has been eye-opening and life-changing. The simple addition (or omission) of certain foods and spices to my diet has greatly enhanced my health and well-being. I always regarded my diet as 'healthy', and it is, to an American standard, though there are many things that I have been eating that are not appropriate for my particular dosha. The recipes that Lizzy has shared with me leaves my body singing after I eat the foods - they just feel right and good! Nourishment at its best.
The photo above is of the ingredients I have been using for one of the recommendations I was given, Agni tea. The purpose of the tea is to kindle the digestive fire (agni) and enhance and stabilize appetite. Pictured are: lime, ginger root, pink Himalayan salt, cayenne pepper and agave nectar - added to purified water in a precise way in specific quantities and you've got Agni tea. It's been great - I highly recommend Lizzy at Rogue Ayurveda for all of your Ayurvedic needs.
