Albuquerque has a bunch of great bike trails. My favorites are the ones that are separate from cars and roads - just built for walking, biking, etc. I feel safer, especially when the whole family is along for the ride. I was thrilled to find this paved trail out on the west side. Totally separate from motor vehicle traffic, this amazing ride offers a beautiful view of the city and the volcanoes. It is a bit more strenuous than some of the other rides. The way out of the parking lot to the north west is an incline for most of the way, and it is a really long trail, all the way out in and around the volcanoes. The ride back is great, though. Well worth the work to get up there. You can pretty much just coast back while you enjoy the view :)
