This is a record of my passage through that world in which we find ourselves; footprints within an exploration of an art-filled life. The journeys cover many realms, and fall across many scales. Some are within the recesses of the mind; others take place halfway around the globe.
I have always been an artist - I think we all are, in one form or another. My early childhood was filled with environments conducive to creativity, and both my parents were (are) involved in creative projects.
My favorite mediums with which to create are found and digital, due to the infinite possibilities presented. I also have a love of oil paint and am a mistress of seams... However I am a bricoleur at heart, and will work with any medium that finds its way to me.
My interests are wide and varied. A deep love of nature beginning in childhood and my later studies of biology have impacted my artwork to a great degree. My journeys through life and in gaining a deeper understanding of myself often involve creating: photography, fashion (eco-punk fashion and creature couture) design, painting, fauxtography (whimsical photoshopped images)...
The microcosm within and amongst worlds in which we dwell is where I decorate my canvas...My life, and all its experiences folded within, are my atelier. The world is my workshop. Art is all around us - we LIVE art!
