A Universe Within...

The yard is in full summer mode, with cooler weather plants beginning to die off, and the heat-lovers taking over. There are a few things blooming, and some yet to come, and the yard is a microcosm of life. Tiny insects, everywhere you look. There were some mantises that hatched out recently, and we saw a bunch of babies crawling around on a variety of plants. A katydid blended in so well on the peonies that I almost missed it, like an insect made of green glass, so delicate looking. The snail that helped me water by crawling about on the hose. The tiny spider spinning a web on the head of a flower. There is a whole world, just outside our door. I look forward to each new day to see what new things we can find.
