I am ever fortunate to have these two amazing people in my life. In honor of my partner, this Father's Day I'm sharing some photos of our lives together. The first two are from our trip to India back in 2012 - two of my favorites from the trip, along with a more current photo of my husband just before he went off to one of his musical performances. Of course, I had to share a few of our son, too. This young one has blessed us with his presence for several years. I feel fortunate to call him my son. He is the best gift I've ever been given. My little family is a good one.
On my way home from a presentation at the museum, I saw a wonderful wall of wisteria. In full bloom, and facing west, it was perfect for an afternoon shoot. Rah and I tried out some makeup techniques and went out to the wall. There was another photographer there already, taking some portraits against the flowery backdrop. We tried some different shots, and things just weren't working out as I'd pictured. We did end up with some nice shots, but the shoot wasn't quite as I'd expected.

My family was once again bestowed the honor to assist with planting the mother corn this year, Mother's Day, at Mer Girl Gardens. This year was Hopi Turquoise corn, planted in rows in a smaller field than last year. The company was great, the little visitors amusing, and the food, incredible. On every visit to this place I learn something new. It makes me hopeful about our world to know that people and places like this exist.
